Guinevere Ferreira and Jorik Stoop celebrate passing their preliminary examinations in the Randles Lab.
It has been a big week in the Randles Lab! Congratulations to Guinevere Ferreira and Jorik Stoop, who both successfully passed their preliminary examinations and have officially advanced to PhD candidacy.
The preliminary exam is an important milestone in the PhD journey, marking the transition from doctoral student to PhD candidate and providing an opportunity to demonstrate mastery of foundational concepts, defend a developing research direction, and engage deeply with a faculty committee.
Guin and Jorik have both made tremendous progress since joining the lab, and we are excited to see where they take their research next.
