Study optimizing treatment schedules for glioblastoma published in Nature BME

April 20, 2021

Work from a large collaboration with researchers from DFCI, Harvard University, and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center was published in Nature Biomedical Engineering on April 16th. This work was entitled "Computational modelling of perivascular-niche dynamics for the optimization of treatment scheduled for glioblastoma" and presented the derivation of radiation and chemotherapy schedules for treating glioblastomas using massively parallel simulation. The efficacy of these spatiotemporal models were validated using a mouse model and set the stage for predicting responsed to a broader range of treatments.
